Heel Spur


Service Description

A Heel Spur is a bony protrusion on the bottom of the heel. It can be painful as it can irritate a band that runs along the underside of the foot (plantar fascia). Heel spurs can be caused by abnormal gait, repetitive injury, overactive, abnormal muscle structure/function and poor footwear. Symptoms of Heel Spurs: -Pain during walking or running -Pain that is felt like a pin at the bottom of the heel -Pain when first stepping in the morning -Pain when walking after periods of rest Treatment can involve stretching exercise, change in footwear, taping or custom made orthotics.
