Dry Needling

Quick, Effective, Gentle, Rehabilitation

Service Description

Dry needling is a treatment technique that involves targeting myofascial trigger points with small, thin needles. The main use of dry needling as a technique is to relieve pressure in localised tightness in muscles of the lower limb and foot. Our podiatrists have further training in this technique to ensure they are as effective and safe during the treatment. If you suffer from sore, tight muscles then dry needling is effective in relieving pressure, reducing pain, increasing the range of motion and decreasing the risk of musculoskeletal injuries. These trigger points can also hinder the muscles from effectively strengthening and is important to address if you are highly active. Our podiatrists introduce dry needling as a technique after assessing your pathology and it may be used alone or in conjunction with other treatment options. If you are experiencing muscle soreness in the lower limb and/or the foot you can see our podiatrists to explore dry needling as an option
